At Novembers regular meeting of Ferraria Lodge the Assistant Provincial Grand Master WBro Mark Constant JGD helped the Lodge celebrate a Diamond Certificate & Jewel from the Grand Lodge of Scotland for WBro Samuel Hagen PPJGW to mark Sam’s 60 years in the fraternity.
Sam was initiated into the Lodge Firth of Clyde 626 on the 20th April 1959.
A number of years after Sam moved to live and bring up his family in Corby, he began to investigate joining a local Lodge.
He decided to join Ferraria #8489 in September 1987 where he took an active part in his new Lodge, initially becoming a Steward in 1992.
Following which, year on year, he progressed until W Bro Ronnie Stone installed him into the chair of King Solomon in 1998 .
Sam then went on to serve Ferraria by becoming the Chaplain in 2003 , only recently relinquishing the position at the end of the last Masonic Season.
In between times , he was an active member of Chapter and Rose Croix and recently became a member of Thistle & Rose #6644.
Over the intervening years Sam’s singing voice has also been heard on many occasions both in our complex and further afield, he is indeed part of the fabric of our complex.
