Some fantastic news for the Corby area is that on Thursday 15th November W Bro David Watson, the Provincial Grand Treasurer representing the MCF arrived in Corby to present a cheque for £23,000 to the Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust for Red Kite school in Purbeck Drive in Corby.
The Red Kite Special Academy is designated to provide for three distinct cohorts of children ; children with a PMLD / SLD presentation, those children with a complex or profound autistic presentation and those with a higher functioning autism. There are currently 63 children at the school ranging in ages from 4 to 18 and was opened just a few months ago.
Group officers from Corby were also present when the cheque was presented to Anna Denny of the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust.
