Remembrance Sunday details for Corby and Desborough.

Corby

Ronnie Stone and Jim Spence (on behalf of Corby Masons) will be laying a wreath (on behalf of the Province) at the Corby war memorial to show our respect to those that have given their lives on our behalf. Over the last few years we have had a number of masons join us.

I appreciate that we have numerous Brethren in various associations and it just shows our commitment to Corby and society in general.

We will assemble at the TA centre opposite Tesco superstore.

The information is as follows

  • Parade will form up at 10am
  • The parade will march off at 10:30am
  • If there are any ex-service men they can march at the front of the parade due to it being a 100 year celebration
  • There will be a small outside service as in previous years.

Those who are unable to be on the march should meet us at the memorial. Once we have laid our wreaths we normally visit a local drinking establishment to toast the fallen from the wars.

Desborough

Harry Twelvetree and others will be laying a wreath at Desborough War Memorial and he has said that he would love to see as many Masons from that area as possible with them.

They will be there from 10:30.
