Celebrating an Irish Night at Thistle & Rose Lodge

Although it was a couple of weeks later than St.Patricks day celebrations, Thistle & Rose Lodge couldn’t let the month pass without having their own celebration.

After a fantastic ritual in the Temple in raising Bro. Andrew Rhodes , it was back to the Hall for food along with the Classic “black stuff” for some (0% ,of course, for those driving) . Whilst the rest joined in with their usual tipples.

Helping the party along was WBro Ian Stark and WBro Scott Morton who treated the brethren to an array of classic Irish Folk songs. Renditions of ‘Leaving of LIverpool’, ‘The Fields of Athenry’,’Whisky in the Jar’ and the ‘The Irish Rover’ were interspersed with the evening Toasts before they came back to play their versions of ‘The bricklayers Song/Sick Note’, ‘Tell me Ma’ and finishing off with the classic ‘Wild Rover’ .

The toast to the Visitors was given by WBro Ronnie Stone who provided some Irish Humour to go along with the welcome to the Visitors.

A great night was had by all present.
